The Dorchester Spa Named Best In UK By Conde Nast Traveller

London, 2 February 2010 – The Dorchester, the iconic London flagship of Dorchester Collection, is delighted to announce that Condé Nast Traveller readers voted The Dorchester Spa ‘Favourite UK Hotel Spa 2010’ with an overall ranking of 12th in the World, the top ranking in the UK.

This award follows the announcement two weeks ago by Michelin’s 2010 Guide for Great Britain and Ireland that Alain Ducasse at The Dorchester was awarded three Michelin stars, making it the only hotel in the UK to hold this coveted accolade.

The Dorchester Spa was particularly rated by Condé Nast Traveller readers for its ‘ambience/design’ and ‘facial treatments’. Exuding 1930’s art deco glamour combined with a contemporary edge, design is inspired by the iconic British style of The Dorchester. With stunning interiors by design consultancy Fox Linton Associates, unique aspects include a chandelier of 72,000 south-pacific pearls. Signature facials are by the renowned UK facialist Vaishaly and new discovery Carol Joy London, with further treatments offered by European Skincare brand Kerstin Florian for the first time in London, alongside acclaimed British brand Aromatherapy Associates.

Every year readers of Condé Nast Traveller are asked to rate the best that the spa world has to offer, according to criteria such as ambience, design, body treatments, cuisine, and service and staff. The results are collated and audited by an independent market research company.

The Spa features nine tranquil treatment rooms including two double suites, a manicure and pedicure suite and a sleek relaxation room.
