Island Park ID Fishing Cabins

Island Park Idaho has long been a  popular   destination for anglers probing for trophy fish.  Home to Henry’s Fork of the Snake River, with “blue-ribbon” fly fishing, Island Park boasts some of the best fly fishing around, and still-water fishing on Henry’s Lake has earned its own place amongst the best of still-water fishing lakes. 

though some fishing can be found all seasons , even ice-fishing in the winter, Autumn is  the most popular time for anglers   in Island Park, as cooler weather  creates a feeding frenzy, and the summer   vacationers   have mostly  returned home .  The pleasant   cooler   temperatures  and beautiful changing  hues   of the aspens and foliage  provide a peacefulness to any fishing experience .

Autumn is a great  time for anglers to find a  warm and cozy   cabin for their fishing vacation  also .   Cabin prices   are generally less expensive , and availability is greater .  Island Park Idaho vacation rentals are well suited to  fishing vacations .   A lot    of these  vacation rentals   lower their rates from mid-September to the end of September.  Be sure to ask when reserving your cabin for fall rates.

Some of the best Island Park Lodging choices for fishing on Henry’s Lake are found right at the lake.   Lakeshore Haven is  situated   on the northeast side of Henry’s Lake, is lakefront, and can accomodate  8.  Finfarra Cabin is also on this side  of the lake, and is also lakefront.    Finfarra Cabin   can accomodate  11 guests and  permits   dogs for an extra fee.

On the north   side   of Henry’s Lake is Henry’s Lakefront Lodge,  which sleeps  10, is lakefront, and has access to a  small marina with boat slip  . On the  southern   end  of Henry’s Lake is Redrock Retreat, which sleeps 16.  This cabin isn’t lakefront,  but is very close to a public boat launch at the popular “cliffs” area of the lake. 

There are numerous    vacation cabins   close to  Henry’s Fork for fly  anglers.    Bear River Cabin is located riverfront on the inlet to the reservoir, where large trout are often caught. The cabin sleeps 12.   Buffalo River Escape is near  the  fisherman’s boat launch   below the dam, where the “blue ribbon”  stretch of Henry’s Fork   begins , and fishing  is exclusively  catch-and-release.  Buffalo River Escape  can accommodate 18, has a hot tub and outdoor fireplace.   Further south near Box Canyon   is The Solitude Cabin, which is within walking distance of the Box Canyon fishing trail.  This cabin also has a hot tub and sleeps 8.
