Off To A Gallop: A Luxury Tailored Tour With A Photographic Twist

To mark the launch of these exciting new holidays, Creative Adventures is set to gallop with the gauchos on a 6-day adventure holiday to Argentina this November.

For travellers who have ever experiencing life on an Argentine estancia, Creative Adventures’ first photography escape promises to provide the perfect opportunity. Led by British equine photographer Astrid Harrisson, Adventure: Argentina 2010 (Nov 8-13, 2010 for £1,650) takes adventurers off the beaten track into the heart of gaucho country.

Located in the beautiful, largely undiscovered Sierra Chicas, north west of Buenos Aires, Estancia Los Potreros is the chosen venue. A 6,000-acre organic farm, Los Potreros has a reputation for outstanding hospitality and horses and is one of Argentina’s best-kept secrets. The estancia is set within a protected sanctuary, where guests will delight in the unspoilt landscape of sweeping vistas and condors soaring overhead: there is even the chance of a puma sighting.

OFF TO A GALLOP:
Creative Adventures specialises in off the beaten track adventure experiences with small groups of photography and horse enthusiasts. This year, 8 adventurers have the opportunity to experience Argentina’s rural traditions first hand. All photographers are welcome – from holiday snappers to serious professionals. Daily activities make the most of the region’s exceptional light and there will be plenty of time spent behind the lens. Sunrise over the sierras, hiking through the hills or dusty afternoons spent with gauchos at work shall provide even the most discerning of photographers with excellent material. Evenings will be spent relaxing with a glass of Argentine Malbec under twinkling South American skies, replenishing tired bodies with sumptuous home-cooked food, and reviewing and editing the day’s work.

Horses are integral to the gaucho lifestyle and horse-riding activities complete this holiday. Guests will enjoy exploring the estancia on horseback and there is also the opportunity to try their hand at polo. Riders of all level are catered for.

Astrid offers photographic support and guidance throughout the adventure and guests are invited to submit pictures for a photography competition at the end of the holiday. Guests can look forward to capturing and producing memorable images from a truly exquisite adventure.
